Sustagen and Carbohydrate Loading
For events lasting longer than 90 minutes, carbohydrate loading is an effective way of providin energy for the duration of the event.
Carbohydrate (CHO) intake of 7-10 g/kg is needed to achieve this level of carbohydrate loading.
Often it is difficult to consume such large amounts of carbohydrate because you begin to feel full.
Sustagen Sport is useful in CHO loading. Each serve contains 39.7g CHO when mixed with water. or 49.2g when mixed with reduced fat milk. Because it is fibre free, it is not too filling.
