    Dentures

It is not uncommon to experience some difficulty eating in the first few weeks after receiving a new set of dentures. Advice is often given to modify the size and texture of food and to chew more slowly until you and your mouth adjust to the dentures.

Before having dentures fitted there may also be a time where eating is more difficult due to missing teeth or pain when eating.

If you are finding it difficult to eat your usual amount and variety of food, a nutritional supplement may assist maintaining a healthy weight as well as supplement your nutrition until you are able to chew comfortably again.
